Psychic Nemeses/Grape Waterloo
Shout to Messica Arson who helped immensely with both [5312135] and this quick and dirty single we did for Halloween ‘24. We were really going for a combination party/seance vibe on this one. Hm, I suppose you could say that about SERIES overall. Psychic Nemeses is decidedly the more upbeat of the two with Grape Waterloo being more of an industrial inspired grind with some guitar-esque pitch bending happening at the end.. Also I can’t recommend Grape Waterloo (the seltzer) enough. It’s quite delightful, you should try it.

Don’t Say I Never Did Anything For you
Don't Say I Never Did Anything For You was the culmination of years of concept proving- and also a genre defying stew of rhythmic melodicism. Created with no preconceived notion of how it was supposed to sound, each composition was allowed to become whatever it wanted. The result was a carefully crafted record that spans various moods and rhythms across its 6 songs, employing a wide variety of instrumentation. We thought our unique take on generative music was a breath of fresh air and believe you will too.
Jollies
A curated playlist of renderings, taking a quick trip down memory lane with acapellas from throughout the 80s. The process here was basically to use the latest Aleator version at the time (2.2) to create “prints” based on the general harmonic structure of each song, targeting the original starting key signature and tempo. From there, we mixed and matched from the different runs, resulting in the mixes you’ll hear in this chaotic 80s pop smorgasbord.
I’ve since been asked about this possibility of doing a Jollies II since I’m so much better with the entire process than I was when I did it the first time around. This shit is highly illegal though; the possible issues that might arise from doing another one of these far outweighs the benefit so no…there won’t be a Jollies II. At least not one based on existing songs/acapellas.
